Ok...it's been awhile...so here it goes!

OK ok ok! I know! It's been 3 weeks! But I feel I have good resason for that!  Today marks 16 days in our new home in NAPA!  I must say, it feels so good to be "back" and those words don't suffice to explain how it truly feels.  I found myself in tears at church on Sunday because of the pure joy that was radiating through my body.  There truly is "no place like home."

So the last 16 days have been full of unpacking, organizing, setting up (nursery) and too many trips then I care to even mention, to Target.  My house, IS ADORABLE! It has "personality" :D  Jordan went around the house with a level, and determined the entire house is leaning...to the left.  LOL It's fantastic though!  I must say, hot weather and no air conditiong however isn't the MOST enjoyable part of living here. :D  I just need to find some black out/heat resisting blinds or curtains and that should help TREMENDOUSLY

Today marks 38 weeks that I've been pregnant...and my "early arrival date" for Lailah is tomorrow ::hehe:: The 17th is a day that popped into my head months ago, and apparently Jordan thought "17th" as well, when I asked him about the date he thought she might come.  Also, a girlfriend of mine, Jaymie, thought the 17th as well!  We shall see!  I have a post on my FaceBook asking people when they think Lailah will be born...I hate all the people telling me August, and naturally I had to de-friend them all!!! JUST KIDDING! HAHAHAH I'm charging the video camera and still camera today, packing my hospital bag and making my iPod playlist, because every girl needs some motivational tunes for their delivery! Gettin' ready...JUST IN CASE.

Everything is really coming together.  Apart from the spare room (which has been coined the "throw that box in the back room" room) everthing is looking organized.  I'm really excited for Lailah's room.  It's not all matchy but I think it's perfect.  I am washing my cloth diapers today...it takes quite a few washes prior to use to get full absorbency out of the organic cotton because of natural oils that the fabric produces.  I can't wait till all Lailah's laundry is done. OMG! That girl has got some clothes!

My next appointment is on the 20th, and I hope they check me to see if I'm dilated to anything or effaced (since they didn't at my last appointment.)  Ya know, it's kind of strange...in Long Beach I was booked once a week for the last 4 weeks of my pregnancy and here...they saw me on the 6th...booked my next appointment 2 weeks later...and that leaves only 10 days till my due date? Hmmm? OH well.

So without boring you, here is a little update on my prenancy and also, below this post are pictures from my baby showers! And a lovely maternity photo session with my beautiful friend Sarah...a gift from her to us, taken in Laguna Beach.  I love them!  Thank you to everyone, by the way, who came to my showers.  I promise Thank You cards WILL go out eventually.  I hope you don't hate me for lack of punctuality!

Love,
Christina

P.s. once the house is all finished, I will blog some photos.

(This picture is hilarious, I say..."It's big...it's low..IT'S GONNA BLOW!

How far along? 38 Weeks Today!
Weight gain/loss: 29lbs. 42" arouunnnddd
Maternity clothes? I wish I had a ton of money to buy a whole wardrobe, but it's so pointless.  I love the scrunchy sided tops...so cute!
Stretch marks? WHAT THE HECK? 2 little random ones on my thigh? SERIOUSLY? SERIOUSLY!?!?!?!? ugh.
Sleep? Some nights are great, some not so much.  I'm convinced I'm ready for those 2 hour feedings.
Best moment this week? IT has all been good, but last night I set up her swing...OMG! It lights up and everything.  I registered for it and my sisNlaw got it for me...I LOVE LOVE LOVE it! You know YOU want to get in it, too!
Movement: The last couple of days have been CRAZY...she moves so much...I feel like she's kicking in my leg though, she is so low.
Food cravings: Suddenly pasta sounds good.  Like...reallllll good.
Gender: Girl girl girl! If it comes out a boy...well...I will cry.
Labor signs? Those Braxton Hicks contractions are happening all the time.  I get a new kind of "rock hard abs" :D  Tonight I had some cramping too. YEEE!!! Hope I'm getting close.
Belly button in or out? Still "flush!" :D
What I miss? Let's just say I took seeing my bagiiiiiiina for granted. LOL
What I am looking forward to? Meeting my daughter for the first time.
Weekly wisdom: Put your feet up more...sausage toes are SO not sexy!
