Ok...I think this means GO!

So even though I'm posting this a week later, last Wednesday the 16th we got great news (that apparently only was exhilarating to me) but, there was one heck of a strong heart beat...not too fast, which I've heard means it's a boy...hehe...and a great sonogram which I WASN'T expecting. I was told that I would be lucky to get 3 sonograms my entire pregnancy...I'm only 13 weeks and I've already HAD 3! :D

Anyway, the Dr. asked me after hearing the heartbeat, which mind you started a constant tear that wouldn't stop pouring out of my right eye, if I wouldn't mind if she took "a look at the baby." I was so excited, "OF COURSE NOT! Please do!" This time instead of seeing a little bee, as I liked to call it, or RAT?!?! which other people said it looked like??? ::what?:: We saw a little baby! A head and body and little limbs. The baby was bouncing around and then it waved its arm up and kicked its leg, from what I can tell from these two pics I will post, it looks like its back was to us and then it flipped which is the 2nd picture.

The Dr said, "Oh! It looks like it might be a boy!" Jordan chimed in in the background, so sure of himself, "Oh, it is." PFFF!!!! So sure of his testicles apparently! HAHAHAH He talked with them and negotiated the x chromosome I guess?!?! I asked her all confused staring at the screen of shadows, "whaaa...Um...How can you see that?" She replied, "Well," then she paused the sonogram screen "See that little thing between the legs? It is usually a good indication that it's a male." DOH! hahahah "Alright. Good point there." Pretty funny!

Anywho...I'm so excited. I started looking at Babies R Us.com and looking at strollers and craigslist and....I went to Barnes & Nobel and got the infamous "What To Expect When You're Expecting" book AND JOURNAL! I'm really excited about it. It helps you track daily with journal entries. It has food logs, exercise logs, nursery planning, shower planning complete with contact and thank you card lists, labor and delivery section to track and journal if I am in there for an eternity, and then post partum stuff. SO FUN!

The weird thing is, Jordan isn't excited like me. I guess I didn't really expect him to, but in the same breath, can't say I actually thought about it. :D He said tonight after I asked, "Are you excited about this baby?" "Yes I'm excited, just not in the same...weird...way that other people are." "WHAT?" "I mean, the baby is doing it's thing, and, I'm doing my thing...and then our things will come together one day and collide and then..." bAHHAHAHAHA DORK! Whatev. I have friends that are MUCHO excited for me that I can talk their ears off about it. AND if you don't already know...my friend from highschool Makayla is due the SAME DAY AS ME! So we have plenty to gush about!

So while this post is getting really long, and probably boring, I also want to note my new interest in WATERBIRTH! WOW! Check out this video...NOTE: There is vag in this vid! hahah LIVE BIRTH: WATER BIRTH
It just seems so awesome, and this chick in the vid is so inspirational! I don't want to be a screamer, and I don't want meds I want to do it au natural! I will be doing my research! So neat! Something I only heard about but it never mattered, now It weighs upon me with much importance...it seems so peaceful and cozy for baby! :D
